Larry W. Jimison, 66, died on Oct. 21 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 27, 1944 at Stafford, the son of Howard David and Verda Marie (Staley) Jimison.

He married Sue Curtis Nov. 24, 1964 at Ellsworth. He was water superintendent for the city of Great Bend, working for the water department for 47 years. Mr. Jimison was a Great Bend resident for 47 years, coming from Lorraine. He was of the Christian faith and was a member of AWWA.

He is survived by wife Sue Jimison, of the home; mother: Verda Jimison, Colby; one son, Shane Austin Jimison and wife Karen of Lowell, Ark.; one daughter, Stacie Lee Immenschuh and husband Brian of Great Bend; two brothers, James Jimison and wife Sherry of New Era, Mich. and Kyle Jimison and wife Debbie of Bushton; one sister, Cheryl Urbanek and husband James of Colby; one brother-in-law, Dennis Preston of Oakley; three grandsons, Kody Clawson and wife Phylleicia of Ellinwood; Kane Clawson of Great Bend; Payton Jimison of Lowell, Ark.; and one stepgrandson, Colin Immenschuh. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael David Jimison, and one sister, Cathy Marie Preston.

Memorial service will be announced at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. The memorial fund isCKMC Foundation for the benefit of Heartland Cancer Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
