LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Louise Weide Zook died Dec. 20, 2010, in Los Angeles, Calif. She was born in Great Bend in 1923, the daughter of Rose and August Weide. She graduated from Great Bend High School in 1941 and worked at Duckwall’s prior to three years on the Draft Board.

Mrs. Zook was active in the Christian Church and attended Phillips University in Enid, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Zook, and is survived by three children, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters, Doris West, Sedona, Ariz., and Katherine Snyder, San Marcos, Texas.

She was interred in Riverside National Cemetery in California with her husband.
