LARNED — M. Earl McBride, 95, died Jan. 22 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born Sept. 2, 1915, at Kinsley, he was the son of Edgar and Elsie Miller McBride. On April 30, 1937, he married Fern Myers in Fellsburg. He was a farmer.
Mr. McBride was a member of the United Methodist Church and former member of the Golden Chain Chapter Eastern Star, both of Lewis, Lewis Masonic Lodge No. 220, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason of Wichita Consistory.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terril McBride and wife Christina of Chickasha, Okla.; a daughter, Bonita McBride, Raleigh N.C.; three grandchildren, Kip McBride and Noelle Woertink, both of Flower Mound, Texas, and Kyle McBride of San Diego, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Weston McBride and Tristan Barnett, both of Flower Mound, Texas.
The family would like to extend their greatest appreciation to the caregivers of Earl: Dr. David Sanger, Janice Durler, RN and husband Steve, Bridgette Thomas, Sherry Colglazier, Phyllis Agee, Julie Snodgrass, Kylie Perez, Darlene Befort–Medina, Judy Redding, Taylor Galliart, Tonya Schadel, Trudi Eldridge, Diana Pekarek and Kathy Glaze.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Lewis with the Rev. Dennis Kuder presiding. Burial will be in the Wayne Cemetery in Lewis, with Masonic Graveside Rites given by the Lewis Lodge No. 220. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Beckwith Mortuary in Larned.
