IRVINE, Calif. — Maralee Joy Hines, 88, passed away May 16, 2019, at Adagio San Juan, San Juan Capistrano, California. She was born August 22, 1930, in Ness County to Lawrence & Lois (McCurdy) Richardson. She married Bob Charles Hines April 4, 1951 at Huntington Park, California. He died April 14, 1996.
A long-time resident of Orange County, Maralee was a homemaker, having previously worked for Bob Hines Chiropractic as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She was a member and secretary for many years of the Native American Institute, also PTA and National Audubon Society. She was an excellent bowler, avid Scrabble player, and liked bird watching and writing poetry.
Survivors include, one son, Lewis Howard Hines of San Clemente, Calif.; two daughters, LoRae Stolpp of San Clemente, Calif., and LoRita Hines of Henderson, Nev.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Charles Hines; one daughter, LoRene Hines; and one brother, Joe Richardson. A private family burial will be held at the Albert Cemetery, Albert, Kan.
