Margaret Louise Edwards 1931 - 2013

BISON — Margaret Louise Edwards, 82, passed away Jan. 11, 2014 at the Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born April 19, 1931, in Oak Hill, she was the daughter of Clarence and Sara Ware Folsom. In 1949 she married Wayne Deckert in Great Bend. He passed away Oct. 6, 1968. In 1971 she married Everett O.(Peck) Edwards at Bison. He passed away June 3, 2011. A lifetime area resident of both Larned and Bison, she was a farm wife, a bookkeeper at the Bison COOP and the secretary at the Larned Jr. High School.  
Mrs. Edwards was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bison.
Survivors include her children, Lynette Kornelson and husband Paul, of Hutchinson, Richard Deckert and wife Andrea, of Larned, Jan Nuss and husband Steve, of Plains and Scott Edwards and wife Norma, of Bison; a brother, Ora Folsom and wife Judy, of Great Bend; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Folsom.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Kathy Bannister presiding. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church of Bison or the Hospice House of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.
