ALBERT — Marjorie Lee Schriner, 89, died July 5, 2014 at her home in Albert. She was born Jan. 10, 1925, at Albert, the daughter of Edward Christopher and Jessie Glennis (Miller) Dirks. She married Elmer John Schriner June 1, 1944, at Peace Lutheran Church in Albert.  He died Oct. 17, 1995.
A lifetime Albert resident, Marjorie was a farm wife and homemaker.
Mrs. Schriner was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, where she was active in Bible Study and Peace Lutheran Women. She was also active with the Barton County Food Bank and the Golden Belt Community Concert Association.
Survivors include two sons, Kent Schriner and wife Ellen of Albert, and Randy Schriner and companion Lucy Besperat, all of Albert; two grandchildren, Jesse Schriner and wife Sabra of Seattle, Wash., and Joey Schriner and wife Roxanna of Shawnee; and four great-grandchildren, Alexa, Rienna, Ethan and Zachary. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Helen Lorraine Dirks.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Bryant Funeral Home. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery in Great Bend. Prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Patricia Reep, officiant. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations to Peace Lutheran Church or Albert Fire Department may be made in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
