Patricia Jean Ludes, 82, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sept. 4, 2022, at River Bend Assisted Living, Great Bend, Kan. She was born on Dec. 11, 1939, at Hays, Kan., to Earl and Estella “Cobbie” (Cobb) Rogg. Patricia married Richard “Ed” Ludes June 6, 1959, at Russell, Kan. He passed away on July 9, 2016.

Coming to Great Bend in 1961, Patricia was a homemaker and also worked at Treasure Chest Bookstore for several years. She was a passionate reader, loved animals and enjoyed fishing whenever she could. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Aimee Jostrand of Dallas, Texas and Jennifer (LeAnne) Ludes of Omaha, Neb.; five great grandchildren, Jaden Jostrand, Max Jostrand, Piper Jostrand, Amanda Ludes, and Evan (Sarah) Ludes; one great-grandchild, Hazel Ludes; and two sisters, Barbara Maloy of Colo. and Debra Rogg of Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Services are pending with Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
