LYONS — Ralph H. Rogers, 77, died Feb. 26, 2013 at Rice County District Hospital in Lyons.
Born Sept. 7, 1935 in Iuka, Ill., he was the son of Floyd and Lillie Bryant Rogers. In 1953, he graduated from Salem High School in Salem, Ill. On Oct. 3, 1955, he married Alice Hicks. A longtime resident of Lyons, he was retired from Oneok Energy.
Mr. Rogers was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Lyons.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; a son, Michael Rogers and wife Larinda, Leawood; a daughter, Kathy Hoffman and husband Chris, Claflin; three sisters, Alieta Meyer, Little River; Marna Slater, Odin, Ill.; and Winifred Huff, Salem, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jessica Enfield, Andrew Rogers, Emily Rogers, Aubrey Alcorn, Mariah Rogers, Claire Rogers, and Amber Nutt; and two great-grandchildren, Connor Jordan and Quentin Enfield.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ervin, Glenn, Morris and Warren Rogers; and four sisters, Erma Norris, Mildred Rogers, Thelma Crane and Opal Osborne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Bible Church in Lyons with the Rev. Phil Green officiating. Burial will be at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons.
