Robert G. Bob Kuhn 1940 - 2014

 HUTCHINSON — Robert G. “Bob” Kuhn, 73, died April 26,  at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Born Dec. 14, 1940, in Hutchinson, he was the son of William and Etta King Kuhn. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and received his associates degree from Hutchinson Community College. On Nov. 25, 1961, he married Cheryl Harris in Hutchinson. She survivies. He had been a certified licensed land surveyor for several years and he also worked for KDOT for 45 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, and his family.
Mr. Kuhn was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church and Hutchinson Water Sports.
Other survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Stephens of Hutchinson; two sons, Brian (Shelly) Kuhn and Jordan (Michelle) Nuss, both of Hutchinson; a brother, William (Alice) Kuhn, of Lewiston, Idaho; two sisters, Beverly Root of Great Bend, and Pamela (David) Barton, of Wichita; seven grandchildren, Madison Stephens, Harlea Stephens, Dallas Stephens, Levi Kuhn, Tyson Kuhn, Lindsey Miller, and Chelsey Miller; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jimmy Kuhn.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Fairlawn Burial Park with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, all at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory in Hutchinson.
