PLAINVILLE — Ronald Dean “Ron” Bird passed away on Dec. 16, 2021, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kan at the age of 73. He was born on Dec. 25, 1947, in Russell, Kan. to Albert and Wanda (Potter) Bird. 

Ron was united in marriage to Connie Bell until they later divorced. They were blessed with a daughter, Rhonda. He later remarried Leona Rutherford and they had three sons together, Brian, Shane, and Travis.

A Memorial Service will be held on Jan. 14, 2022 at the First Christian Church in Plainville at 11 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the Rooks County Health Center or the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks and may be sent in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd St., Plainville, KS 67663.
