Shirley Lou Smith 1931-2012

Shirley Lou Smith, 80, died Oct. 25, 2012 at her home in Great Bend. She was born Oct. 28, 1931 at Bunker Hill, the daughter of George A. and Margaret Ellen (Peck) Hanzlick.
She married Herbert Alexander Ehrlich May 26, 1950 at Ellis.  He died Dec. 22, 1969. She then married William E. Smith in 1977, and he died in 1995.
Mrs. Smith was a Great Bend resident for fifteen years coming from Yorktown, Texas. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Great Bend, and was an active volunteer.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Ehrlich of Cuero, Texas and Jeff Ehrlich and wife Donna of Park City, Mo.; two daughters, Mary O’Neal and husband Jeff of Hutchinson and Nancy Ehrlich of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Neil Hanzlick of Springfield, Mo., George “Jake” Hanzlick of Russell and  Dennis Hanzlick of Germany; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Hanzlick.
The Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 at the  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 5851 Eisenhower, Great Bend. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
