Victoria Befort, 100, passed away Aug. 20, 2022, at her home in Great Bend. She was born on a farm near Pfeifer, Kan. on Sept. 20, 1921, to Joseph and Margaret (Urban) Breit. The family moved to a farm near Loretto, Kan. before she started her elementary school education. 

She married Tony Befort on March 5, 1946 and the couple moved to Great Bend and became lifelong residents. 

Survivors include her son, Leland; daughter, Rhonda (Gary); grandson, Taylor (Katie) and great grand daughter, Ellie. Victoria was preceded in death by her husband Tony. 

She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for over 75 years, including 67 years as a faithful member of the Daughters of Isabella. In her later years, she loved to have lunch with her friends at the Great Bend Senior Center, and then spend the afternoon playing cards and laughing a lot. For over a century, she shared with everyone the love and joy that filled her heart. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 16 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, followed by a burial ceremony at Great Bend Cemetery.
