To the editor:

I am so furious after reading Sunday, Dec. 15, Tribune. USD 428 stated children behind on their lunch bill are given peanut butter, crackers and milk. How generous of the school district. That is a disgrace.

The bond election asked for $45 million for renovations, new construction and a new gym. Do you think those kids will go home to a grilled steak for supper?

Pay the teachers and feed the kids.
