To the editor:

Last week, I was involved in a traffic accident east of Great Bend on U.S. 56. I’m blessed to provide my appreciation and gratitude for the rescue crew which responded – Barton County Sheriff’s Deputies, Great Bend Firefighters, Great Bend EMS personnel and Kansas Highway Patrolmen. Thank you to all these well-trained professionals. The doctors and nurses at the University of Kansas Health System (Great Bend campus) were spectacular. I was treated with kindness and top-caliber care. Thank you to all involved. Great job!
