Things were tied up at 80 with 15 seconds remaining in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division basketball game between the Barton Cougars and Pratt.
A 3-pointer from Pratt’s Rob Davis gave the Beavers an 83-80 lead with four seconds remaining. The split would be the final score after Tyler Corley’s half-court shot at the buzzer failed to go in.
Barton drops to 12-5 overall, 0-1 in the West, while Pratt improves to 11-6, 1-0.
Darius Gibson finished with a game-high 22 points for Barton.
Raheem Johnson claimed a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Corley finished with 20 points. Davis led the Beavers with 21 points.
Barton hosts Dodge City on Wednesday night, starting at 7:30.
