Seward County pulls ahead of Cougars late

LIBERAL — The usually potent shooters for the Barton Community College men’s basketball team were uncharacteristically quiet from the outside against Seward County on Wednesday night.
The Cougars fell 67-58 as the Saints pulled away late in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division game.
Barton drops to 19-9 overall, 7-5 in the West. Seward County improves to 20-8, 10-2.
The Cougars were a collective 0-for-14 on 3-point shots in the game.
Barton was led by Tyler Corley, who finished with 12 points.
Raheem Johnson got a double-double for the Cougars with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
