It was a game that got everyone involved.
The Barton Community College men’s basketball team cruised to a 117-82 win over Kansas State University-Salina on Thursday night at Kirkman Activity Center.
Barton filtered in 12 players, all of whom got more than 10 minutes of playing time.
Salina even led early on, after an 8-0 run put it ahead 14-12.
However, the Cougars went on a tear, leading 61-42 at halftime.
Raheem Johnson heaved in 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
DJ Johnson led the Cougars in rebounds with 14. He had nine points.
Rashawn Walker scored 20 points, and Montrell McKenzie finished with 15 points, both coming off the bench.
Darius Gibson finished with 13 points.
Barton only made 3 of 20 3-pointers, but that didn’t matter.
The Cougars had 92 points in the paint, compared to Salina’s 28.
Barton’s bench outscored Salina’s 60-3.
The Cougars crossed the century mark for the fourth straight game and the eighth time this season to improve to 10-4.
Barton hosts Hesston College on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
