“We talked about what it takes to play better teams in a bracket-style tournament in the semifinals and how we have to bring our own intensity and mentality,” Maxwell said. “I was very proud of how the girls jumped out to a lead and never quit when it got close, with all the girls making huge plays at key moments. They made the big plays when they needed to, and that is a huge positive for such a young team.”

Ellinwood established an early lead and weathered a second-half surge from Pratt to secure the win. The Eagles displayed their depth and determination, with multiple players stepping up in critical moments.
