The Sunflower Collegiate Baseball League is collapsing one team at a time.

The directors of the Andale Warhawks (8-14) announced they would suspend operations Tuesday, one day after the Sunflower All-Star Game in Wichita. It leaves all of the Warhawks players with no team and “host families” without players. The Warhawks also suspended baseball operations in 2020.

“The Warhawks are sorry to announce that due to a multitude of reasons, we will forgo the rest of the season.  We appreciate everyone’s support up to this point of the season, especially our host families. These unforseen circumstances are unfortunate. We wish the players the best of luck in the future.”

The El Dorado Broncos, a former NBC World Series champion, suspended operations after one Sunflower baseball game this summer.

The Mulvane Patriots called it quits during the off-season.

The Great Bend Bat Cats will lose five scheduled games against the Warhawks. The Bat Cats lost five games earlier in the season when the El Dorado Broncos suspended their season.
