Cardinal reliever Brodie Crites (4-2, 4.20 ERA) yielded no earned runs in 61/3 innings.
Lyons scored two first-inning runs. Luke Isaac raced home on an attempted double steal as catcher Marcus Ingram threw out Blake Smith. Caleb Giorgetti scored on an error.
Kaydin Umphrey's first-inning single scored Brodie Crites. Corbyn Holinde scored on Layton Hoffman's second-inning single.
Thomas Higgins scored on Holinde's single to ignite a 3-run fourth. Holinde scored on a Crites single. Crites scored on Drake Martin's bases-loaded walk for a 5-2 lead.
