HAVEN GIRLS 55, HOISINGTON 43 – Hoisington’s girls roared to a 10-2 lead with a near-perfect start. Haven’s Sienna Defrain ruined the Cardinals’ night with a dominating 31-point game in a 55-43 Central Kansas League basketball victory.

Haven (12-4, 4-1 CKL) owns the No. 1 seed at the Hoisington 3A substate.

Hoisington’s Elle Crawford scored a career high 21 points and Kylee Hahn added eight points.

“We fought. We had a great defensive effort in the third and fourth quarters,” said Hoisington coach Trina Lutters. “Elle worked hard and enjoyed a great night. We got ourselves into too deep of a hole.”

HAVEN 45, HOISINGTON 33 – Haven fought off Hoisington’s challenge with an 8-2 third quarter edge for a 45-33 Central Kansas League basketball victory over Hoisington Thursday.

Hoisington’s Mason Martin scored 11 points and foul-plagued Tony Moore scored eight points.

Haven’s Gatlin Rinehart scored 13 points and Nash Wray added 12 points.

Haven (12-4, 4-1 CKL) owns the No. 2 seed over the Cardinals (8-8, 1-4) at the Hoisington 3A substate.
