LARNED — Larned's Easton Fox scored on a wild pitch to finish off a 5-4 second game victory Friday over Ellis. The Indians (7-10) won the opener 6-0.

LARNED 6, ELLIS 0 (G1) — Reece Morgan and Mason Miller combined for a nifty 5-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.

Reece Morgan's single scored Anthony Gonzalez for a 1-0 lead.

Tristan Regan's 3-run triple scored Miller, Gonzalez and Conner Spreier to key a 5-run fifth inning. Landis Hagerman scored on an error. Regan scored on a Hunter Hobbs single for a 6-0 lead.

LARNED 5, ELLIS 4 (G1) — Fox singled and advanced to second base on an error. Hagerman's bunt moved Fox to third base.

Kade Johnson scored on a walk to start a 3-run second. Fox scored on a Gonzalez single. Luke Krehbiel scored on an error.

Ellis' Baylor Born and Austin Lopeman delivered fifth-inning RBI singles. Gonzalez scored on Regan's single for a 4-2 lead. Ben Byers scored on Easton Blackwill's single and Born scored on a seventh-inning error for a 4-4 tie.
