Panthers' next football game canceled
covid-19

GREAT BEND -- Great Bend athletic director David Mater has announced that the Panthers' final home football game against Goddard Eisenhower has been canceled because of a positive test for coronavirus.

Meter told Patrick Burnett of Eagle Radio that a Panther football player had tested positive for coronavirus, meaning the entire Great Bend team would go into quarantine. Great Bend's final regular-season game is scheduled Oct. 23 at Garden City. The Panthers' Week 4 home game against Wichita Kapaun Mt. Carmel was canceled after the Crusaders had positive cases of coronavirus.
