LARNED — The Hoisington High School boys’ basketball team jumped ahead 19-4 in the first quarter on Friday night, and Larned was unable to make up the difference.
Hoisington rolled to a 63-49 victory to remain unbeaten at 6-0.
The Cardinals were led by Derrick Kaiser, who scored 16 points. Ryan Bieberle added 14 points, Cody Stetler rang up 13 and Luke Becker contributed 12.
Justin Vratil led the Indians with 16 points. Jahman Hill added 11 points and Josh Wise put in eight.

Otis-Bison 54,
La Crosse 36

OTIS — La Crosse led after the first quarter 7-6, but a 20-point second quarter boosted Otis-Bison to a win on Friday night.
The Cougars, who were led by Brandon Pechanec with 13 points, had four players in double digits.
Dylan Wissman and Patrick Piper each had 12 points, and Trevor Keller added 11 points.

Ellinwood 33

ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood led 22-20 going into halftime, but a scoreless third quarter turned the game around for Thomas More Prep-Marian on Friday night.
Kale Clawson scored 10 points to lead Ellinwood.
Kyle Blakeslee added seven and Kyle Corbett dropped in five for the Eagles.

Bucklin 49,
Pawnee Heights 30

BUCKLIN — Bucklin outscored Pawnee Heights in all four quarters on Friday night in rolling past the Tigers.
Pawnee Heights led by Sam Spence, who scored 11 points.
Chad Wallace added nine points, including 3-for-4 from the free-throw line.

Macksville 69,
Kiowa County 55

GREENSBURG — Macksville built up a large enough lead early on to endure a 21-point fourth quarter from Mavericks on Friday night.
The Mustangs received a double-double from Kyle Bunker, who scored 31 points while grabbing 10 boards.
Adam Oak and Derek Bevan each added 10 points for Macksville. Oak also had seven rebounds.

Otis-Bison 36

OTIS — Otis-Bison outscored La Crosse in the second and third quarters but a 15-8 fourth quarterwas the difference .
Otis-Bison (1-4) had two players contribute points: Hannah Bannister led with 19 points and Janel Tammen was right behind her with 17.

ELLINWOOD — Thomas More Prep-Marian jumped on Ellinwood in the first quarter, 22-4, and the Lady Eagles could not catch up.
Ellinwood got eight points from Lauren Thill, who led the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Eagles’ Darrien Beckwith added seven points, including one of its two 3-pointers. Bailey Schartz hit the other.

Bucklin 55,
Pawnee Heights 34

ROZEL  — Pawnee Heights fell behind 16-9 in the first quarter and never climbed back against Bucklin on Friday.
Rachel Wasko was the only Pawnee Heights player in double digits with 10 points.
Corrina Spence and Capree Worthey each provided five points and Tristen Galliart, Jenna Jacobs and Jackie Dvorak each scored four points.

Hoisington 36, Larned 24

LARNED — Hoisington was only up 25-20 entering the final quarter, but the Lady Cardinals outscored the Lady Indians 11-4 to put the game out of reach Friday night.
Hoisington was led by freshman Jordin Greer, who scored 12 points. Blakelee Cooper scored eight points and Britany Axman added six.
Larned was led by Brittany Perez Brittanie Miller each scored seven points to lead the Lady Indians. Amanda Haberman added five points.

GREENSBURG — Macksville’s Lady Mustangs improved to 6-0 with a road victory Friday night.
Macksville closes pre-holiday action on Tuesday night, when they play Western Plains (Ransom) at home, starting at 6.
The Lady Mustangs are on a colission course for the Central Prairie League championship with St. John (5-0).
