HOISINGTON — The Hoisington High School wrestling team won the Mid-Central Activities Association championship on Thursday night.
The Cardinals were led by Brandon Ball (120-pound weight class), Zach Sanders (138), Chance Demel (145), Matt Manka (152), Dylan Bell (160), Hagen Hanzlick (170) Cayton Janousek (195), Cody Batt (220) and Brady Moore (285), who were each the MCAA champion in their respective weight class.
Hoisington won duals against Thomas More Prep-Marian, 60-21, and Larned, 59-9, in MCAA competition. The Cardinals also beat Stafford 71-12, Lyons 66-12, and Sublette, 78-6.
Brenden Lewis was the lone league champion for Larned in the 132 weight class.
