PRATT — The St. John High School girls’ basketball team jumped ahead 30-13 at halftime, and held on to win in the first round of the Pratt Invitational on Thursday night.
Teresa Wade led the Lady Tigers with 17 points.
Jamie Waters pumped in 14 points and Morgan Osborne added 12.

Southeast of Saline 45, Claflin 39
STERLING — Claflin held the lead after halftime, 22-18, but Southeast of Saline came back to claim the win in the second game of the Sterling Round Robin on Thursday night.
Courtney Liebl led the Lady Wildcats with eight points.
Morgan Hekele and Ashlee Maier added seven points apiece. Janae Hekele put in six.

Thomas More Prep-Marian 48, Hoisington 26
HOISINGTON — A 15-point third quarter for Thomas More Prep-Marian boosted the Lady Monarchs over Hoisington on Thursday night at the Hoisington Athletic Center.
The Lady Cardinals were led by Jordin Greer, who put in nine points.
Brandy Wondra added five points for the Lady Redbirds, and BreAnna Burns and Mallory Flagor each contributed four.

Hoisington 72, Thomas More Prep-Marian 51

HOISINGTON — After a 54-46 setback against Minneapolis last Saturday, the Hoisington Cardinals are back to stacking up the wins column, topping Thomas More Prep-Marian on Thursday night.
The Cardinals led 21-6 after the first quarter and the Monarchs never turned the lead around.
Cody Stetler led the Redbirds with 18 points.
Ryan Bieberle pumped in another 15 points, and Derrick Kaiser and Brady Demel joined them in double digits with 12 and 10, respectively.
