Great Bend soccer athletes, Jordan Boehmer (#4) and Hagen Boehmer (#8) were the starting defenders for the Wichita Warriors this fall. After the USD 428 school board rejected a virtual student proposal that would have given these students the opportunity to play for the Great Bend Panthers, these home schooled students tried out for the team out of Wichita. The Wichita Warriors are a KSHSAA approved team and are also members of the Kansas Christian Athletic Association and the Kansas Christian Home School Athletic Association. The Warriors finished their regular season with a 17-2-1 record and competed in the National Home School Soccer Championships in Fort Wayne Indiana.
