The Stafford County Extension Office will hold a prescribed burning workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 at the Stafford County Extension Office, 210 E. 3rd in St. John.
Topics covered will include Reasons for Burning; Notification; Regulations and Permits; Weather; Liability, Using a Burn Contractor and Burning Assistance; Equipment, Hazards, and Firebreaks Overview; Planning and Conducting a Burn.
Registration is $10 which includes the meal and handout material. Pre-registration is due Feb 3, and can be completed by contacting the Stafford County Extension Office at 620-549-3502 or e-mail gnewdigg@ksu.edu.
