Betty Clement and Robert W. Bud Allen were married on Jan. 10, 1948 in Russell. They will celebrate their 65th anniversary with a card shower.
Bud and Betty recently moved to North Carolina where their oldest daughter and family reside. The couple were married  on Jan. 10, 1948. Bud was owner of Allen Enterprises and A&W Supply. Betty is a retired teacher from the Great Bend school district. They were active members of First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend for 56 years. They have three children, Denise Simon and husband David of Mooresville, N.C., Marcia Kimbley of Stafford, and Robert S. Allen of Denver, Colo.; and two granddaughters, Chelsea Simon of Kansas City, Mo. and Sarah Simon of Mooresville, N.C.
