Ted and Ingrid Bird celebrated their 50th anniversary with a river cruise to the south of France. Their children and families hosted a celebration in their honor at the Bird home on the farm.
Ted and Ingrid were united in marriage Oct. 15, 1961 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. They have resided on the farm near Albert ever since. The couple has three children, Thomas and wife Gah Bird, and children Sam and Zach of Colorado Springs, Colo., Stefan and wife Valerie Bird, and children Nicholas and Anna of Portland, Ore., and Carolyn Bird of Steamboat Springs, Colo.,
