Johnny and Betty Carson will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Nov. 1.
Betty Brit and Johnny Carson were united in marriage on Nov. 1, 1952 in Fayetteville, Ark. Residents of Great Bend for most of their marriage, Johnny worked in the oil field, Marlette Homes and Cherry Village and Betty was a homemaker. The couple has five children, Benny Homer Carson and wife Beth, Rhonda Lavonne Herren, Dennis DeWayne Carson and wife Ruth Ann, Gordon Lynn Carson and wife Kathy and Lori Jane Sanders; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
