Marvin and Dianne Cope of Great Bend will celebrate their 50th anniversary today with a family dinner at Montana Mikes. Hosts for the event will be their children, Tom Cope of Hudson, Tonya Cope of Great Bend and Gerry and Dorelle Cope of Olathe. The couple has three grandchildren, Landon, Charlie and Brianna.
Marvin Cope and Dianne Brown were united in marriage on May 28, 1961 at the First Christian Church in Great Bend. Marvin is worked for Centel for 30 years and is retired from Aquila and Dianne works as a medical receptionist.
