Herman (Junior) and Waneta Irene Mausolf will celebrate their 60th anniversary with a Come and Go celebration from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the Jordaan Room, 502 Broadway, in Larned. Friends and relatives are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
Waneta Irene Suhler and Herman (Junior) Mausolf were united in marriage on Dec. 18, 1951 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ellinwood. Herman, born and raised southwest of Albert, and Waneta, a native of Ellinwood, made their home on the family farm in Albert. In the fall of 1969, they moved with their four children to Larned, where the couple was employed at Larned State Hospital. Herman retired from there in 1991 as the head of the Security Department. Waneta retired from there in 1994 as a secretary in Legal Services.
