Virginia Manning 90th

Virginia J. Manning, of Ellinwood, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Dec. 16, with a card shower.
Virginia was born on Dec, 16, 1921, to Aubrey and Hazel (Converse) Smith at their home in Ellinwood. In 1939, she graduated from Ellinwood High School. She married Delmar E. Manning on May 17, 1940, and she became a homemaker or,  as she called herself, a “domestic engineer.” In her early married years, Virginia lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Montana while Delmar worked in the oil fields. In 1950, they moved back to Ellinwood to her family home. Delmar passed away on Oct. 11, 2005.
Virginia has two children, Larry (Connie) Manning of Horseshoe Bay, Texas and Sue Ann (Rollie) Peter of Raymond; four grandchildren, Robert (Serena) Manning of Ingram, Texas, Mark (Margo) Manning of Dallas, Texas, Kristyn (Trey) Chambers of Austin, Texas and Roxanne (Michael) Flores of San Antonio, Texas; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
