Preceptor Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi shared a Sister Chapter Social with Laureate Kappa Jan. 15 at First Christian Church. The dinner was catered by Bernard’s Catering of Hutchinson. The two chapters met separately for their meetings following the dinner.
President Jeri Brozek led the Preceptor Pi meeting. Linda Jerke presented the Beta Brief from a December/January Torch article featuring a California chapter that helped stock a family shelter apartment with necessities for the transition to a new home, and an Alberta, Canada, chapter that helped raised money needed by a young Canadian who was chosen to participate in a World Youth Program in Kenya.
Service Chair Judy Krebaum reported the chapter’s donation of dog food and old rugs and towels would be delivered to the Humane Society Jan. 19. The chapter’s February service project is the donation of $100 to the Cody Clark Fund.
Social Chair Lois Johnson reported the February Valentine Dinner couple’s social is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Classic Inn. Past Valentine Queen Janice Walker is in charge of the social.
The date of the chapter’s Feb. 5 meeting was changed to Feb. 12 because the original date was the same date as the Community Concert “Masters of Motown.” The chapter will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the home of Cindy Meitler, who also will serve as co-hostess and present the program.
