The Book Nook: Tres Artistas exhibit up at library
1-Tribune

Hello from the Great Bend Public Library!
We are pleased to announce that the bilingual art display, “Tres Artistas,” is up here on display on the library’s main floor. The artists are Margaret Gary, Delores Baker and Esther Sayler. They all work with different mediums, including ceramics, paper, and fabric. We have had many compliments on their beautiful pieces this month, so make sure to come in, admire their display and sign their guest book.
On Monday, March 19, Crochet is in the Main Conference Room at 6 p.m. We are currently taking a break from making items for different charities. Come in to work on your own project, share your ideas, get help on patterns and find new projects. We will start up with infant hats again in June. Please register if you are new to the class.
Tuesday, March 20, the Teen Writing Group meets in the Teen Spot at 4 p.m. To sign up for reminders and notices, text @t33nwrite to 810810. In the evening, the Open Book Club for all ages meets in the Magazine Area to share their thoughts and experiences for this month’s book, V. E. Schwab’s “A Darker Shade of Magic.” If you still have not read it, pick up a copy from the Circulation Desk.
There are no events scheduled for Wednesday, March 21.
On Thursday, March 22, Crochet is at 3 p.m. in the Main Conference Room. Teens are invited to create Pop Tab Bracelets at 4 p.m. in the Teen Spot.
Friday, March 23, bring the kids back again for Pre-School Story Time at 10:30 a.m in the Children’s Department.
Our Crochet, 3D Printer and Tinkercad Design Classes are open to those in grade 7 and older. Anyone grade 6 and younger must be accompanied by someone in grade 7 and older.
