Have you ever wondered who is behind the scenes helping keep the Ellinwood School/Community Library running? We thought it would be a great time to introduce our library staff and the roles they fill in our community!

Amy Hammeke – MS/HS/Adult Manager

Amy joined the library staff in 2015 and serves as our MS/HS/Adult Manager. Amy works with our Ellinwood Middle School, High School, and Adult patrons and helps keep these areas of the library running smoothly.

Heather Dombroski – Programming Manager

Heather started with the library in 2021 and serves as our Programming Manager. She helps plan and coordinate the programs and activities offered throughout the year for our community, including our summer programming.

Karie Gibson – Youth Services

Karie works with our youngest library patrons through Youth Services. She is with us during the school year, primarily at the Ellinwood Grade School Library, helping provide services and activities for children and families.

Terra Ricker – Part-Time Evening Library Aide

Terra joined the library staff in 2026 and is our part-time evening Library Aide, helping keep the library open and welcoming to patrons during evening hours.

Each member of our staff plays an important role in serving our patrons and helping make the Ellinwood School/Community Library a welcoming place for everyone in our community. Although we each have different responsibilities, we work together to provide the best possible library experience for our patrons.

Currently, Amy, Heather, and Terra are working out of the Ellinwood Grade School Library while our library building receives a new HVAC system. Once school starts, Karie will continue to be based primarily at the Ellinwood Grade School Library while also assisting at the Middle/High School as needed. We are excited about the improvements being made to our building and look forward to returning to our familiar library location once the work is complete.

We are thankful for our library staff and all they do to serve the Ellinwood community! Whether you are looking for a good book, need help finding information, want to attend a program, or simply want a welcoming place to visit, we are here to help!
