Lane and Susan Worthen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 25, 2020, with a card shower.  

Susan Jilg from Albert, the daughter of Carl and Tessie Jilg, was united in marriage to Lane Worthen from Otis, son of Ivan and Jean Worthen, on July 25, 1970 in Olmitz. They are currently living in McKinney, Texas where they have lived for the past 32 years.

Lane retired from EDS in December of 2008 and is very active in the Masons and enjoys volunteering for the Scottish Rite and Shriners hospital. Susan began working for State Farm in Rochester Hills, Mich., and worked there for three years before moving to Texas. She continued working for State Farm for 11 more years. They have three children, son Jeff Worthen and wife Karen Worthen of Arizona, daughter Michelle Schindler and husband Brian Schindler of McKinney Texas, and son Bryan Worthen and wife Breanna Worthen of McKinney, Texas, soon to be moving to Poland in August; and eight grandchildren, Augusta, Ashton, Zander, Logan, Peyton, Owen, William and Elyse. Lane and Susan enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and watching them play sports on the weekends.
