The Great Bend Public Works Department announced Tuesday afternoon that the intersection of 24th and Main will be a four-way stop until further notice. Damage occurred to the control box for the stop lights at this intersection Monday night as a suspect fled from law enforcement and crashed into the device. As a result, the control box will need to be completely replaced.
The earliest possible time for that repair to occur is the first week of June, the department reported. Officials apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
