Arrests made after man hit in head with golf club

Three Great Bend residents were arrested on aggravated battery charges Wednesday after a 25-year-old male was hit in the head with a golf club. The Great Bend Police Department was dispatched to 1445 Park Ave. at 1:34 p.m. and located suspects over the next hour.
Amanda Jackson, Miles Jackson and Tanner L. Osborn were booked into the Barton County Jail on aggravated battery charges. Both of the Jacksons were released after posting $20,000 surety bonds.
Lt. William Browne said Thursday the investigation was in progress and that three suspects had been arrested. The person who was hit refused medical treatment at the scene.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

With groundwork going on at the future site of the Innovation Center on Farmer’s Plaza off of 10th St., Great Bend Economic Development Executive Director Sara Arnberger updated Great Bend Chamber members on several of the organization’s projects Thursday during a Chamber Coffee.
