Barton music students to present recital

The first Barton Community College Student Recital of the school year will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157. The recital is free and open to the public. Children under 5 years of age are discouraged from attending.
The recital will involve students of keyboard instructor Karole Erikson, Director of Instrumental Studies Steve Lueth and voice instructor Glenna Gaunt. Barton music students are an eclectic group of traditional college students, area high school students enrolled for college credit and area adults studying for their own enjoyment.
Vocalists will perform folk songs in addition to English and classical Italian art songs.
Vocalists include Macy Munson of Ellinwood; Alize Garcia, Ethan Wedel, Alyxius Torres and Ashton Young of Great Bend; Jacob Woodmansee of Geneseo; and Paul Claassen of Wichita.
Piano students will perform a diversity of work.
Pianists performing include Alex Robl and Steven Cortez of Ellinwood; and Tom Bauer of Great Bend.
Instrumental students will present music by Carl Bohm and Arcangelo Corelli.
Instrumental students performing include Aaron Schultz, trumpeter, and Abel Prieto, saxophonist, both of Great Bend.
