The Barton Community College board of trustees will act on bids for the gym basketball court when it meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday in room F-30 of the Fine Arts Building. The board will also consider approving a $4 per credit hour increase in tuition and fees for all students, effective for the fall 2014 semester, and a notice of intent to build a new dorm that can hold 172 students.
Trustees will meet new employees and Barton advisory board members who have been invited. There will be a report on workforce training at the college, and trustees will adopt a resolution on procedures for financing tax-exempt debt. The resolution is a new requirement of the Internal Revenue Service.
