Thursday afternoon at the Summer Street Stroll farmers market at Jack Kilby Square in Great Bend, Be Well Barton County’s table offered the best deals.  That’s because volunteers of the long-standing community health advocacy organization were giving away bike helmets from 4-7 p.m.  Members of the Great Bend Chapter of Pilot International were also on hand, and went to work helping young bicyclists adjust their helmets for a safe fit.  The giveaway was in lieu of the annual bike rodeo which was canceled earlier this spring.
