The City of Great Bend officially launched its new website on Monday, providing a refreshed online hub for all city-related information through government website provider Revize.

Spanning more than eight months of development, the new platform enhances the City’s strategic communication efforts with improved user-friendly components, including ADA compliance, streamlined navigation and a modern design that reflects city branding practices.

“We are excited to finally share our new city website with the people of Great Bend,” said Public Relations Director Addison Crites. “Our goal with this project was to enhance our website visitors’ experience and better facilitate communication from city offices to the public. We are very pleased with how it turned out.”

The homepage features quick links to most frequently visited portions of the website, along with sections dedicated to city news, meeting and events calendars and local government resources.

The Great Bend City Council approved the transition from CivicPlus to Revize at its Sept. 2, 2025, meeting. The change was driven by improvements in design, usability, customer service and cost savings. By switching to Revize, the City will reduce its annual website expenses by nearly half.

An additional benefit of the transition is the integration of the Explore Great Bend and Brit Spaugh Zoo websites which are now also hosted on the Revize platform. Previously, Explore Great Bend utilized Wix for its digital communication efforts while the Brit Spaugh Zoo was also on the CivicPlus platform.

“We’re thrilled to launch the new Explore Great Bend website — a fresh, modern platform designed to better showcase everything that makes our community special,” said Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Amanda Gaddis. We’re excited to provide visitors and residents with an easier, more engaging way to explore Great Bend.”

Along with the new site, the City has adopted a new primary domain of www.greatbendks.gov, replacing the former www.greatbendks.net address. Visitors using the old domain will continue to be redirected to the new website through 2035 but are encouraged to use the .gov address.

“We ask for patience as we all adapt to the new site,” Crites said. “If there is any difficulty in locating items or loading pages, please contact the City. Revize also recommends clearing your computer’s cache to ensure you see the latest updates.”
