Commission, city council have heavy agendas Monday

The Barton County Commission will meet Monday morning and the Great Bend City Council will meet Monday evening.

The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Barton County Courthouse, 1400 Main in Great Bend.The agenda includes a proclamation honoring the Hoisington High School football team, awards honoring years of continuous service to the county, an Employee Recognition Award for Mick Lank of the Road and Bridge Department, appointments to the The Barton County Local Emergency Planning Committee and a matching fund request from the SouthWest Kansas Area Agency on Aging.

The Great Bend City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the City Office, 1209 Williams. The agenda includes the election of a council president, a resolution supporting a Housing Opportunities Inc. Project, stop signs at Eighth and Grant and Eighth and McKinley, and retail strategy proposals.
