For the third year in a row, First Assembly of God is sponsoring its Easter egg hunt. At 1 p.m. Saturday, children through sixth grade are welcome to come to the Great Bend High School Football field to get in on over 35,000 Easter eggs that will be given away during the event. In addition to the candy-filled eggs, other prizes will be given away this year.
“We have added a coloring contest for kids to enter as well,” says First Assembly’s Children’s the Rev. Dale MacKinney. “Kids can download a coloring sheet from the church’s web site and bring it on the day of the event. We’ll be giving away bikes and prizes to winners in various age groups.”
Between age groups, there will also be live performances from the First Assembly Youth Group and Jam Squad. This event is free to attend, and all are welcome. Each child is responsible for bringing his or her own basket or bag to collect eggs in. No tinsel or basket filler material is allowed on the field.
