The Community Music for Mission Concert will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, in the Presbyterian Church Sanctuary at 24th and Washington.
All are invited to spend a special afternoon at this year’s Community Music for Mission Concert. Talented musicians from churches in the Great Bend area will be offering musical praise to God through a variety of musical formats, from hand bells and chimes to vocal solo, duet, quartet and choral groups, to piano solos and a brass quintet.
Sponsors said 90 percent of the proceeds from a freewill offering will go to benefit the Barton County Emergency Aid services. Barton County Emergency Aid provides for people in our county who are seeking emergency assistance under the threat of utility shutoff or eviction due to unpaid bills or rent. It provides fans during the summer months, and blankets and Christmas baskets during the winter. Emergency Aid also assists transients moving through Barton County who have emergency needs.
The remaining 10 percent of the offering will go to the local Crisis Management program of the Presbyterian Church.
