Michael Cresci will be the guest speaker for Aglow on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Perkins Family Restaurant, 2920 10th St. in Great Bend. Fellowship will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the meeting at 9:30 a.m.
Cresci grew up in Long Island, N.Y. He had been adopted into a caring and supportive family at a young age. He is working on his Master’s Degree in Theology from Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. He worked in a variety of careers, such as long-haul trucking and carpentry and others.
Throughout his adult life, Cresci struggled with his identity as a man, and eventually changed his sex to that of a woman and living his life as a woman, thinking that would make him feel complete.
In 2010, after dealing with some significant losses, he began to realize his attempt to find happiness though the sex change was futile and began searching for something to fill the void in his heart. His heart had been empty after dealing with rejection and felt ashamed of his actions, which he felt were depraved and immoral.
That led to depression and drunk driving as his life spiraled down. Then he went to the Dream Center in Great Bend and his life was completely changed as he experienced the love of God and the Holy Spirit.
Those who attend the meeting are invited to bring some canned goods to donated to the Dream Center.
