Deer crashes into van in Stafford County

A deer collided with a van carrying six people from Kingman at 5:40 p.m. Sunday in Stafford County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred on U.S. 281, 10 miles south of Great Bend. The deer collided with the rear passenger side of a southbound Dodge Grand Caravan, entered the van and exited out the rear hatch window.
Driver Nathan Stoney, 27, Kingman, was taken to Great Bend Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries. Four children ranging in age from 1 month old to 8 years old were also taken to the hospital. Another adult passenger was not injured.
KHP reports are were in safety restraints or booster seats.
