October 2013 marked the 23th anniversary of the opening of the Deines Cultural Center. In honor of the date, the Center is hosting a musical performance and reception, from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15th. The wood engraving prints and engraved blocks by E. Hubert Deines will be on display through the end of the year.
The Nov. 15 event includes a piano performance by Steven Lueth, paintings by the Deines Center Staff: Shannon Trevethan, Matt Miller, and Katie Obholz. We will also be exhibiting various artists from the collection of the Friends of the Deines.
Anyone who is currently a member, and would like to continue their membership through 2014, is asked to renew at this time. Membership is open to all and Shannon Trevethan, director of the Deines Cultural Center is encouraging everyone to consider membership as a way to help keep the arts alive on the High Plains. Membership levels start at $25, are tax deductible. Contact us via email or sign up in person the night of the reception.
